AT&T 2025 Benefit Plan Provisions

AT&T shared with the retiree coalitions that in 2025 all retirees will have access to legal advice as the active employees do today. Known as the AT&T Legal Program retirees will be able to sign up during annual enrollment at a rate of $17.75 per month. There are no copays, deductibles or a waiting period. Services that will be available are wills, estate planning, selling or buying a home, family law as traffic violations. Retirees will receive materials specific to this offering as you must sign up during enrollment periods. 

Another offering is the ID Watchdog program that is also being extended for all retirees that allows for ID protection and monitoring. You can sign up anytime in 2025 for this program and not just during enrollment periods. The cost is $5.20 for a retiree and $9.30 for a family monthly. 

There are no changes to CARE PLUS coverage or costs: $1 for a retiree and $3 for retiree and family per month. 

SPECIFICALLY for Retirees and or dependents who are NOT grandfathered and are NOT on Medicare the following items are relative to your class:

  • AT&T is instituting a program that will manage all surgeries relative to: total joint replacements/revisions, spine & bariatric. These specific surgeries will be only approved for coverage through a network of facilities and doctors who participate in a network know as Surgical Center of Expertise administered by Lantern. Additionally, if travel is involved there are also provisos for the patient and caregiver. If you choose not to use these facilities and doctors you will be 100% responsible for all costs. 
  • Those who are being treated for a chronic disease or condition that could be treated with cell or gene therapy such as sickle cell, bladder cancer etc. will have access to Cell & Gene Therapy Center of Expertise administered by ETS to ensure best match of providers.
  • Sleep evaluations: Nox Health provides no-cost at-home sleep testing, using state of the art technology. If diagnosed with a sleep disorder, members can access treatment (including any necessary DME) from Nox at a reduced price compared to other providers. Engagement with Sleep Center of Expertise is required for coverage of sleep testing and treatment
  • Cancer Center of Expertise will provide personalized guidance and support to eligible members throughout their cancer journey. Lantern will provide support for a cancer diagnosis, including a virtual 2nd opinion, as well as consultation for development of a treatment plan. This is optional for members with a cancer diagnosis.

  • Levels of Medical High /Low deductible and Broad or Select plans are still in place and costs associated with each plan vary depending on number of people you are covering. Read your materials for all needed services to determine which is best for you and yours. 
  • Enrollment for the Non grandfathered and non-Medicare group is from October 21st through November 8th. On line videos available beginning October 15th. Benefit Center # 877-722-2020 or www.att.com/benefitscenter
  • There was no dialog regarding dental or vision plans. Please read your materials.

Retirees and dependents not grandfathered on Medicare and on the AT&T Advantage Plan or Plus Plan:

  • Enrollment period is from October 21st through December 6th 
  • Basic AT&T Advantage plan will have zero cost to retiree and dependent(s)
  • AT&T Advantage Plus remains at $50 each for both retiree and dependent 
  • Medicare has reduced the out-of-pocket max for RX to $2000. 
  • No change to the $900 medical out of pocket max
  • New deductibles for RX $590 and Medical $125 and some copays are changing 
  • HRA balances will be available all through 2025 for that year’s expenses. Bills from 2024 must be submitted for reimbursement by March 31st 2025. 
  • Automatic enrollment for 2025 if currently enroll in the AT&T Advantage plan. 
  • Anyone going on Medicare in future must make selections not automatically enrolled.
  • If you choose to opt out of AT&T Advantage plan you may revert back to your prior plan that you had prior to 2024 by law and without regard to existing conditions. (no change can be made to plan type). You must also notify AT&T of such action.

GRANDFATHERED Retirees and Dependents:
